Who We Are
About Tim
After doing mission work in Central Asia, Tim Parish joined the staff at New Life Church in Louisville, Kentucky in 1996 and was the Senior Pastor of New Life from 2003 until 2026 when he handed the church over to his successor. In addition to his pastoral work, Tim is the President of One City One Church, an organization that works for the unity of the Body of Christ in Louisville by promoting and facilitating pastors and churches praying and working together to see transformation in the city. He is also the President of Word and Spirit Collective which works to see this generation of Christ-followers anchored in the Word and led by the Spirit. Since 2008, Tim has been teaching at various YWAM bases across the country. He enjoys teaching on why we can trust the Bible and how to study the Bible. He also teaches courses on effective communication, Deuteronomy, 1 John, the nature and character of God, and Church History. Tim has a B.A. in Cross-cultural Studies from Bethany Global University, a M.A. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Th.M. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has studied Linguistics at the University of North Dakota and Tajik State University in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He has also completed the Summer Programme in Theology at Oxford University in Oxford, England. More importantly, Tim and his wife, Marlene, have been married since 1992 and have four sons, three daughters-in-law and six grandchildren. Tim enjoys reading (especially C. S. Lewis!), watching University of Kentucky basketball and Minnesota Vikings football, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
